How can we learn something that we don’t know yet? On the one hand this sounds like a paradox, but isn’t it actually what research is all about? In the last years several curatorial, educational and artistic endeavours and forms of practice-based research have tried to encounter this paradox. In a two-day seminar we will follow curatorial, educational and artistic strategies of knowledge production as exploration, investigation, imagination and/or reflection. We aim to share ideas and think together about research strategies and the production of critical knowledge.

Para-educational Research is constituted by a group of researchers at the Aalto University Department of Art finding connections between their inquiries. Wanting to challenge and be challenged back.

In a two-day seminar we aim to share ideas and think together about research strategies and the production of critical knowledge.
