Drifts festival 2021 explores the theme “Unmapping Futures” in order to map out a plurality of futures. Unmapping Futures opens up social spheres with 33 transdisciplinary practitioners for dialogue on current socio-political and ecological challenges, as well as actionable futures through screenings, performances, lectures, workshops and exhibitions.
Unmapping Futures is co-directed by artist-curator Soko Hwang and researcher-curator Mi You. The festival programs are co-curated by the artistic directors in collaboration with curator-educator Bassam El Baroni and curator Marianne Savallampi. The events are taking place at Kontula central square, Museum of Impossible Forms, and Wenla in Kontula.
