About Moonlight:

Widely considered as one fo the best films of the decade, Moonlight (2016), by Barry Jenkins is a coming of age story that deals with questions of identity, guilt, and acceptance. The film presents three stages in the life of the main character; his youth, adolescence, and early adult life. It explores the difficulties he faces with his sexuality and expectations on black masculinity, including the physical and emotional abuse he endures growing up. Filmed in Miami, Florida, the film is both visually stunning as emotionally captivating. The film won the Oscar for best picture.
